2024.09.05: Andy Airriess: Kenneth Parsad will be ordained a Deacon on Friday, November 22^nd at the Cathedral.  The ordination will be in the evening, but I do not know the exact time yet.  6 or 7 is likely.  That day is also his birthday.  An honor guard is requested.

Nov. 24 — 39th World Youth Day

The 39th World Youth Day will be celebrated on the diocesan level on the solemnity of Christ the King (Nov. 24) on the theme: “Those who hope in the Lord shall walk without growing weary” (Is 40:31).
“Courage! All of you have a special place in my heart,” Pope Francis wrote in his message to young people in anticipation of the celebration. “I entrust your journey to the Virgin Mary, so that, following her example, you may be able to look forward with patience and confidence to the fulfilment of all your hopes, even now, as you persevere in your journey as pilgrims of hope and of love.”
Since 2021, every Catholic faith community around the world has been encouraged to celebrate and reflect on youth and young adults annually on Christ the King Sunday. To support that celebration, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has published A National Pastoral Resource Guidebook for the Global Celebration of Young People, as well as a prayer for youth and young adults, and a list of ideas for parishes and local churches to celebrate this event.

Invitation only.  In conjunction with family food baskets. ~ The Knights of Columbus will be signing up parishioners who need help this Thanksgiving by providing a good meal for them and their families on Sundays during our coffee and donut social. The Knights; we are giving out coats for kids and giving out the baskets in the gym on Sunday November 24, 2024 from 9:00 - 12:30. But to get a food basket they have to be on the list and to get a coat they just have to show up with there children. ~~ Los Caballeros de Colón estarán inscribiendo a los feligreses que necesitan ayuda este Día de Acción de Gracias brindándoles una buena cena a ellos y a sus familias, las registraciones serán los domingos durante el evento social de café y donas en el gimnasio o en la oficina Parroquial. Caballeros; Repartiremos abrigos para niños y estaremos entregando las canastas de comida en el gimna- sio el domingo 24 de noviembre de 2024 de 9:00 a 12:30pm.
