The letter praised Blessed Michael McGivney for his “zeal for the proclamation of the Gospel and generous concern for the needs of his brothers and sisters made him an outstanding witness of Christian solidarity and fraternal assistance.” You can find liturgical resources that will help you celebrate Father McGivney’s feast day and promote his legacy here. XXFYI - Start a 40-Day Consecration to Our Lady of Guadalupe 11-01-2024 All Day Event www.KofC.org/Sons ~~ Sons in the Son - Restoring our sonship through consecration to Our Lady of Guadalupe ~ Join us for a special period of preparation beginning November 2 and ending with a consecration to Our Lady of Guadalupe on her feast day, December 12. ~~ Restore Your Sonship As an Order, the Knights of Columbus is dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe — and now, members can consecrate themselves to her, as well. Go to kofc.org/sons to sign up for Sons in the Son, a six-week spiritual journey of preparation that culminates Dec. 12, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Participants will receive emailed video reflections from Father Innocent Montgomery and Father Angelus Montgomery of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, and can also opt in to daily written reflections. Restore your sense of identity as a son of God, a child of Mary and a Catholic man. Register now! ~~ Restore Your SonshipJust as Our Lady of Guadalupe restored Juan Diego’s hope, she can help you restore your sonship in God the Father. Sons in the Son provides 40 days of prayerful meditation on what it means to be a son of God. Following the book Sons in the Son by Fr. Innocent Montgomery, CFR, we will dive into the meaning of Catholic masculinity and encourage you to examine your own life and faith. Starting Nov. 2, embark with us on this spiritual journey, which culminates in an Act of Consecration to Jesus through Our Lady of Guadalupe on her feast day, Dec. 12. Sign up to receive emailed video reflections from Fr. Innocent every eight days, which correlate with the five themes in his book. Each video will set the theme for additional daily reflections that registrants can access on our website. Men, now is the time! Rely on Our Lady of Guadalupe as your intercessor and rediscover your sonship in God the Father. ~~~~~ While this journey can be done at any time, it may be good to plan for the consecration to occur on a particular Marian feast day. December 12, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is ideal, but other feasts such as the Annunciation or the Assumption would also be appropriate. Below is a table of feast days and their corresponding starting dates. Start Date Consecration Day * November 2nd December 12th –Our Lady of Guadalupe * November 22nd January 1st –Mary, the Mother of God * February 13th March 25th –The Annunciation * July 6th August 15th –The Assumption Go to Event All Day FYI - Start a 40-Day Consecration to Our Lady of Guadalupe
